Why is it that pie crust is never perfect when you make it? And it's even worse when you buy it. I can follow all of grandmas old recipes, look it up on Epicurus, but my pie crust is never just how I want it. And yet I know that there is such a thing as a perfect pie crust, because I have had it before, typically made by little white haired ladies at bake sales. So why can't I make it? I was so close the other day, I had the crunch, I had the mulitple delicate layers, I had the color...but it tasted like crisco. :( Is it possible to perfect my pie crust before I too am a white haired lady? Or is it like sushi and the true masters are aged veterans? I have not given up yet!
Began packing today, all in all packing is by far the worst part of moving, followed closely by unpacking. Why do I have so much stuff? I'm debating whether or not to just start tossing stuff until everything fits in one little parcel.
